Felt Dolls

Well here we go again.  I am making something new again.  I did the needle felting thing, and now I have found some really neat felt doll and animal patterns.  Some of the dolls hair is needle felted on, so sewing the bodies was just the next step (at least that is how I rationalise it in my brain :)
These patterns are from a seller on ETSY and you can see her patterns here: http://www.etsy.com/shop/Gingermelon

I have made some other ones too, but I am unsure where the patterns came from.  I have years and years worth of stuff I find online and now that I am sewing some felt these unidentified patterns work very well.  If you happen to see anything where you know the artists name I am more than happy to link back to the owners.

Felted Wool Sweater Cupcake Pincushion

I promised to show you the other items I made with the wool sweaters I found at Value Village.  I had also recently visited the library and found this book which showed me how to do this: Warm Fuzzies
Again - tons o' fun to make!

Felted Kittie Charms

I love these phone charms the most (since I am a cat person).  These were really fun to make and can be used as a zipper pull, cell phone charm, etc.  I was inspired by a handmade glass bead I saw somewhere.

Felted Cupcake Charms

I had a lot of fun making these cupcake charms.  They are relatively quick (compared to creating more detailed wool sculptures).  Great to give as a fun trinket to the top of a gift.  These can be used as zipper pulls, cell phone charms, or to hang anyplace one wants to view them that makes them smile.

Felt and Needle Felted Wallet for my Niece

I wanted to make something unique for my niece for her birthday gift (which happens to be at Christmas).  I had this pattern to make a felt wallet, but it was pretty plain jane, until I realized I could needle felt my own design on the front!  The original instructions said to use a snap to close the wallet, but I placed two magnets instead so there would be nothing in the way to obscure the design.  The design was needlefelted freehand without using any templates.  The collar on the cat is swarvski crystal beads sewn on securely.  The zipper pull is a needle felted ball and a swarvski crystal flower, and I added a needle felted kitty cell phone charm to the button.  The entire wallet is hand sewn.  I loved this so much, I almost wanted to keep it for me!  I hope you enjoy your wallet M!

TINY Needle Felted Penguin

Another craft that seems to be taking off lately is Needle Felting.  Even the miniature world is doing it.  So of course, I wanted to try it.  I finally found a small beginner kit that did not break the bank, so made my first penguin the size suggested in the kit.  There was enough to make a few penguins, so I decided to see how small I could make one.
I think this is pretty small and pretty cute, myself :)  I am not sure if I will be selling it, or adding it to one of the beds in my Fairy Dollhouse......
